Konbanwa minna-san!! Surprise surprise!! Didn't expect to actually write in this blog again.. But since we had a quite memorable & eventful outing.. Guess i should put it in here and share with you all eh?! LoL!
Well well.. Where should i start?! Oh yes.. Since a month ago! May Yee aka Kuro-nin (as she dubbed herself) has planned this outing and was keeping her fingers crossed that many would be able to make it..
What outing you say? It's called Bon Odori.. A Japanese Cultural Celebration to commemorate the dead with songs and dance! It was held at the Panasonic (formerly Matsushita) Sports Complex for the past 37 years.. So yeah.. This is their 38th celebration in KL!!
So yeah.. Being Japanese Otakus.. We made sure we go for this and dragged some loved ones along.. The list that went includes
- May Yee
- Veron
- Natalie
- Wai Kin
- Shuyen
- Chong Jin
- Adrian
- Jun Wai
- Joanne (May Yee's church friend)
Well.. It was quite an interesting event! We went there via KTM at 5pm and reached there about 6 something.. We were each given a fan at the entrance which May Yee said it was to be used to dance later.. So each of us held a fan and made our way to the food stalls.. We had some ice-shavings, sushi, yakisoba, california rolls, Wai Kin had some udon and Adrian had an Asahi beer!
After that, we joined in the dance along with the others who were present.. The dance was lead by students from the KL Japanese School on the stage.. In the middle of the stage there were Taiko Drums where the Japanese guys will play and the girls dancing around it.. The guys are HOT wei! And the girls are pretty!! After the event, Adrian, Jun Wai & Wai Kin went to get their pics.. LoL!
We will be going again next year.. And most probably we'll be wearing Yukatas (A Summer Kimono) as it'll made it more interesting! LoL! Come join us k? For further info, ask May Yee!! (n.n) And now.. Photo time!!

Upon Arrival! See the Stage with the Taiko Drums behind?!
